General Job Description:
The SEO Content Writer is a pivotal member of the Alexander Online Media team, bringing their ability to research topics for the best search engine optimized keywords to include in SEO friendly content. This person should be passionate about the Internet, and stays abreast of rapidly emerging technologies and online communication channels (i.e. social networks, blogs).
Job Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize, draft, execute, and maintain SEO friendly Website content with ecommerce and conversion in mind.
• Conduct keyword research with tools like Google Keyword Tool, Keyword Discovery and Wordtracker.
• Cross-functionally work with PPC and Email program managers to write conversion-driven web content for PPC ads and landing pages.
• Use web analytic data to expand content important to website visitors.
• Improve web-marketing initiatives & content management using creative content writing, search engine friendly copywriting, proofreading, and editing.
• Co-ordinate between various team members for task inputs and suggestions to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Writing, reading and acquiring knowledge on various subjects.
• BA or BS in communications, journalism, or related field.
• Proven success in writing professional web and marketing copy.
• Ability to work as a team with designers, programmers, and managers.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Understanding of direct-response and ecommerce copywriting.
• Ability to write compelling copy while maintaining brand messaging, persuasiveness and readability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 1-3 years SEO copywriting experience including ecommerce.
• A willingness to stay informed about the latest social media and tech trends.
• HTML and WordPress knowledge preferred but not required.
